Jiak Kim Bridge

Jiak Kim Bridge

Jiak Kim Bridge is a pedestrian foot bridge made of steel that spans the Singapore River right next to where Rivière is located. The bridge is suspended from a tilted giant arch via cables anchored on both sides of the river. Constructed in year 1999, it was named after Tan Jiak Kim who is a very outstanding Straits-borned Chinese political person of influence during the early 19th century. He is son of Tan Beng Swee and grandson of well known philanthropist and businessman Tan Kim Seng.

Residents of Rivière can make use of the Jiak Kim Bridge to cross the river to Valley Primary School, Kim Seng Park, Robertson Quay and Clarke Quay.
